I have been working away creating a trio print run based upon the myths of Daedalus, a greek craftsman who created the Minotaur’s labyrinth and was the father of icarus. I wanted to add a connective element between the three prints (more than just that they are all cyanotypes) and decided to include a gold element within each print. From fellow Hazlehurst Artists, Mima, I discovered this wonderful powder that when mixed with water created this great paint that just beautifully shines. It was such a relaxing and pleasant experience to use it and discover painting again I thought I would share some of the process.
