Nature is the current prompt for Draw on Halton 2, with everything that has been going on this year and not being able to travel I have been experiencing more of what my local area has to offer. I never realised now close Wigg Island in Runcorn was to where I live and where my art studio is based. While Nature may be dormant at the moment there is small burst of colour to be found as well as wonderful textures from evergreen trees and ice over the canals. This video is a small love note to this local nature spot, I hope to go back throughout the year and film again just to see how the place changes over the seasons. Big thank you to Claire Pitt for helping me film, spotting the wonderful mushroom as well as teaching me what the plants are actually called!
